Note: Judging these straight out of the can is a bit unfair, I know. No skin, no bones, no oil, no salt. It’s just raw fish in a can. Which is fine but it’s meant for inclusion in a recipe, not to be eaten like this but here we go.
Nose: It smells like tuna fish.
Eye: It ain’t pretty, is it?
Fork Feel: Not a bad texture but not great. They crumble a bit.
Tongue: A bit more complex than canned tuna but I don’t think most people would be able to pick it out.
Mouth Feel: I like the more substantial feel of a fish in oil.
