Here’s my Yelp review of the Ohio Renaissance Festival.

I’m not a guy who gets lost in fantasy easily (or at all) and this Festival doesn’t do it.  What I do get lost in is good performance and this Festival offers lots of that.  People don’t get a chance to see enough live performance and this offers plenty in a small space at a not too high price.  It also offers lots of cleavage but that’s really not important.

I’ve gone several times and still laugh at the Mudde Show – basically three guys telling stories utilizing a mud pit.  Yesterdays was a 10 ROW SHOW! (i.e. the first 10 rows of audience will get muddy).  It’s the same jokes as in years past but actually tells a complete story without being too raunchy or too kiddish.  Since the performers were all topless there wasn’t much cleavage but since they were three men, I didn’t expect much.

Another reason I like this festival is that – in a Micheal Bay world of special effects – it’s good to see kids amazed and entertained by staged sword fights, a man swooping in on a rope, and full gallop jousting.  And women show lots of cleavage at this Festival.

I think my favorite (sorry favourite) this year was the Washer Women show.  It’s a duo of not-so-comely washer women telling jokes and getting the audience to participate in the travails of their love lives.  A great show (although there wasn’t much cleavage).

The festival runs for seven weekends and is a good time.  The only draw back is lots of shops selling lots of stuff that could, just could, be classified as “crap”.  But many of the vendors show lots of cleavage, so they have that going for them.

Oh, and it’s one of the few places you’ll be able to get mead which is booze made from honey.  It’s very nice.  And if served by a woman showing cleavage it’s even sweeter.
