Rushing Spring Cocktail-The Japanese Slipper

February 23rd, 2010 · No Comments

During the fall and winter I drink brown liquors-Bourbon, Rye, and Scotch.  Spring and summer I dig out the gin.  That’s the way I like it.

But it’s February and I’m soooo tired of winter and I’m (can’t believe I’m saying this) soooo tired of the brown stuff that I needed to try something new so I did.  It may be a little early but this spring time delight just may bring a little spring into your world.  If you’re the same, try the Japanese Slipper.

Into a shaker with ice pour
1 oz of Midori (muskmellon liqour)
1 oz of cointreau (if you’re rich try Grand Manier, but me I like Patron’s Citronge.  It comes in a orange square bottle.
1 oz of lemon juice – about 1 lemon.

Shake, strain into a cocktail glass.  It’s electric green, light and sweet.
